Alpencheddar + Truffle Toastie
Crisp on the outside and gooey in the centre, this blend of traditional German Alpine cheese, British Cheddar and truffle vinaigrette is a definite Friar favourite. With a slightly nutty flavour, our toastie balances the savoury cheese with creamy béchamel and an apricot finish.
The Friar’s twist on a traditional Ploughman’s Lunch. Homemade pastry baked with pork, fresh cherry tomatoes and British cheddar. Served with pickled veg and a devilled egg – hard-boiled and refilled with pasted egg yolk and mustard. Proper fillin’ that is (don’t forget a pint to wash it down)!
